Courtney Russell, Owner & Principal Planner
Clients and colleagues appreciate and value the vast network of industry professionals
that is Courtney's "rolodex." Her diverse background in theatre production, event
management & design makes up over a decade of hands-on training & experience. In
2007, she realized she was happiest when she used both sides of her brain to be creative
yet logical, and opened "the doors" of Half Past Lavish Event Production. Attention to
detail, creative problem-solver, passionate & original, and genuine listener are just a few
of the common phrases expressed when clients discuss their experience working with
Courtney. Her work has received local and national acclaim as the producer of the
Grand Openings for The Jones Playhouse Theatre on the UW Campus, MOHAI
(Museum of History & Industry) and The Bezos Center for Innovation*. Courtney is
credited with introducing Seattle to Project Runway alums; bringing the first designers
out in 2004 for a local fashion show.         * In the MOHAI Special Event Director position
